OOo 3 for Ubuntu
Here are some OpenOffice 3 repositories for Ubuntu 8.10 and 8.04.

Go to System>Administration>Software Sources, Add these repositories to 3rd parties tab, you will
be asked to update the sources, update and then install openoffice 3 from Synaptic.
Binaries can be downloaded from official site as well.
